Ethical Marketing - Myth or Reality?
By Kimberly Bock | July 2, 2008
This is a blockquoted article that further details my agitation with those that use ethics as a marketable manipulation tool.
This clarifies how wide spread lack of ethics is, especially with those that love to ‘talk’ about ethics (from both sides of their mouth)
A large quote in a document is usually inserted as a separate segment of text

Ethical Marketing: Myth or Reality?
by Alf Nucifora
“The marketing profession has always been accused of self-interest. Scratch a church-going advertiser or marketer and you will be accosted by all manner of self-justification, couched in language about the legality of otherwise harmful products and the economic well-being that good old fashioned capitalistic marketing generates for society at large.
As one who has practiced in the marketing profession for more than 30 years and worked in the advertising business for 15 of those years, I can say without equivocation that the industry has much to answer for when it comes to the issue of ethical behavior. Let me not come off as a moralist. I’ve done things and worked on campaigns in the past that, today, I am ashamed of and genuinely regret. Everything from cigarettes to kid’s cereals to name but a few.

On Page SEO
By Kimberly Bock | June 30, 2008
“Is your On Page SEO strong enough? Honing your on page factors, sculpting page rank, funneling link weight and consolidating anchor text is only one facet of content optimization.

Search engines assess your pages first to determine your sites relevance and how your pages measure up to existing pages in the search index on the topic.”

Michael Moore’s Activism Against HMO’s - Sicko
By Kimberly Bock | June 30, 2008
If you think I’M opinionated, you ought to hear Michael Moore and his antics.

I watched one of his documentaries over the weekend, “Sicko“, and it inspired me to buy every one of his films.
He’s witty, he’s opinionated, and determined to uncover injustices. “Sicko” explains the foul play behind HMO’s and the detriment to American citizens as a direct result of utilizing HMO.
He visits France, Canada, and Cuba to discuss their Governmental health policies in those countries.
Did you know, in some other countries, health care is FREE for their citizens? 100%.
They understand the importance of illness PREVENTION. You know, as the old saying goes, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
Whatever your illness, these countries citizens receive immediate free treatment and care. Even if they need serious surgeries, extensive cancer treatments, coverage for childbirth or a common cold.
If you watch the movie, you’ll see the facts that our government tries to conceal, like who was paid off and why Hilary’s attempt to make sure we were all covered failed.
I was shocked to learn how other countries even receive pay while they are laid up! 30% of usual employment paycheck comes from their employers, while the other 70% is covered by their government, to nurture them back to health!
It’s a must see.
Here’s a YouTube trailer of “Sicko”.

The Two Faces of the Ethical Coin
By Kimberly Bock | June 28, 2008
Is Li Evans talking out of both sides of her mouth?
Is she discussing ethics vigor because she uses it as a means of gain?
Do loyal readers and followers equal job security for her?
When I think of her and many others, the first thing that comes to mind is “Greenwashing“.
“attempting to preserve and expand their markets or power by posing as friends of the environment.”
On a personal, behind the scenes note, I don’t trust her farther than I can throw her. She has shown herself to be two-faced.
Ethics? Ha! If you say something contrary to what she is promoting (or ‘gaming’) she exits you stage left for fear of being exposed. Can’t have that.
I won’t name names here, because I really do not want to get into the he said she said drama. but, ethics is not her forte’. She’s done everything she can to make me and my blog suffer because of our behind the scene issues. She’s brought the posse out, because they know that I got fed up with bogus, manipulative, callous, greedy people like themselves, so they have chosen to talk more about ethics and goodness and wholesomeness, because there’s a part of them that feels threatened by me, this blog, and the people that I may expose them to.
Says Li,
“The companies I chose to highlight wanted active conversation, true audience engagements and
honest reviews…”

Rise and Shine Consumers!
By Kimberly Bock | June 27, 2008
I was just sending good morning wishes by way of a good morning wish application in Facebook. I receive a lot of them and haven’t had time to return one for a while. Always something else to do it seems.
The application allows us to send ‘wishes’ (like photo-cards with messages attached) to 20 of our friends at a time.
(If you are a Facebook user, and would like to view the application, you can do so here.)
The beauties of this application:
- It shows 20 people that you’ve chosen them out of possibly hundreds of friends to wish a good morning
- The message area allows you to personalize your morning well wishing with plenty of text space to announce your wishes for them
- It allows you to upload your own images to use as your wish card, as opposed to sending the pre-given ones
It’s my belief that marketers have a tendency to focus on what they can ‘get’, not what they can ‘give’. This mindset is literally ruinous.
It leads to a lack of consumer care / rights-protection, a systemic overload of influence on newer markets that review their leaders success, opting to recycle this mindset to follow in their footsteps, and mass elimination of global balance and care, which is slowly eliminating us on levels I will not even address in this post.
I want to share my good morning wish with you, the consumer.
