What Is Affecting Your Search Engine Compatibility?
Your Search Engine Compatibility
Below are a few common elements that affect your site’s search engine compatibility:
-Dynamic content - Query strings
Search engine Ranking algorithms attribute high relevancy weight to the content of your TITLE tag.
In the HTML code of a website, a sample TITLE tag looks like this:
<TITLE>Learning SEO Basics-Search Engine Optimization Resource Center!</TITLE>
If you wish to view the HTML code of this site or any other, simply go to your browser toolbar or ‘right-click’ anywhere on your page and choose “view source”. The TITLE tag should be located near the top and should match the title shown at the top of your browser.
Danny Sullivan of Search Engine Watch mentions “The text you use in your TITLE tag is one of the most important factors in how a search engine may decide to rank your web page.”
It is known that Webmasters and designers commonly overlook the role of the TITLE tag, not utilizing real potential. Your TITLE tag is ’second in importance only to the actual text on your page in determining your site’s ranking with the search engines.’
I hope you enjoyed becoming more educated about the importance of your TITLE tag.

Learn SEO: ALT IMG Attribute

Optimize With ALT IMG Attribute
ALT image attributes are placed inside your HTML code as a text description for a graphic or image that appears on a web page.
Text will pop-up when the mouse hovers over the graphic or image on the page.
To view the effect of utilizing the ALT IMG Attribute, hover over the image on this page. you will see the text pop-up describing the image.
Keep in mind that not everyone utilizes the ALT IMG Attribute, so not every image on every web site will display this text. It’s personal preference.
In SEO, implementing ALT Attributes for your images and graphics increases the Search Engines readable text when it is indexing your pages. And it is also user friendly, as it suggests more appeal to your potential customer.

Learn SEO: Text Links

As you learn SEO, you will quickly realize the importance of Link Popularity.CM SEO describes Link Popularity as “The process of developing incoming, outgoing, and reciprocal links for the purpose of increasing Page Rank.”
In other words, it is an important factor in the Ranking algorithms of many Search Engines, especially Google’s Search Engine.
Text Links And Search Engines
Text Links provide another way for SEO’s to give the Search Engines what they need in order to direct traffic to your door.
If you are utilizing keywords that are relevant to your target market’s search query, within the anchor text of your link, (also referred to as Link text) the Search Engine has more readable text to find as relevant to the query as well. (as long as it IS relevant!) This of course, means that you will then have a better chance of Ranking well for the keywords used, possibly moving your site up in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERP’s).
To clarify, let’s take http://learningseobasics.com for example.
I am promoting this site as a means to educate you about the importance of learning SEO basics and also to promote learning advanced SEO with Search Engine College. If you are looking for a site like mine you may search for me using these queries “Learn SEO Basics” “Learn SEO” “SEO Basics” etc. Or maybe you have this single page under “Text Links” “Text Link” “Anchor Link Text” etc..
If I want my site to be more readable by the Search Engines so you can find me with those queries, then it is advisable to for me to use Text Links within my content that utilize those query words. Such as, “Click here for SEO Basics” or “Learn SEO: ALT IMG Attribute” or “Learning SEO Basics In Copywriting”
These internal links direct you to another post which include these keywords.
When you hover your mouse over the above links, you will see that I have used ALT Text to describe them. The Search Engines are reading this text, as well as the anchor Text of the Link. (the actual words of the link that you see)
But more importantly than your internal linking, will be the use of Text Links of sites that are linking TO you. If they are linking to your site with these relevant keywords within their Links, it shows the Search Engines as your site having more relevancy to the query.
Advantages Of Text Links
*Loading time is faster
*Indexable by Search Engines
*Easier to edit
*Better for visually impaired readers (they use special “Text To Speech” Software)
*They contribute to a site’s search relevancy
*Contributes to a site’s Link Popularity
I Hope this has been helpful. Have fun learning SEO!
Learn SEO: Body Text - Keyword Rich

Body text. Making it keyword rich
There are many well written pages on the web. Some with truly captivating text. You know the kind. It’s the ones that have you screaming, “Beat me, whip me, take away my charge cards!” even if you know they are probably offering crap. Your body text should be able to make a priest take a survey asking “Are you a Satan Worshiper? Take this survey to find out now!” or make a perfectly straight man want to invest in “Gay and loving it” magazine.
Hopefully, straight men aren’t out there querying the search engines for gay magazines, but if they are, you should write keyword rich body text so the search engines know that your site is most relevant to their query.
Basic SEO of writing body text
Your keywords and keyword phrases need to be relevant to your target market’s search engine query. Once you’ve researched your target market and have a better understanding of the words they are using in their queries, your body text is the playground where these words are implemented. These words will have to persuade your target market as well as the search engines to believe your site is the most relevant to the query. (Do not forget…Search engines place weight on the keywords used in your Title and META Tags. I have already written lessons on this here)
Conclusion
Your body text should not be written in a way that interferes with the natural flow of your content. Recently, I read an article about blogging. It was only a few paragraphs long and used multiple variations of the word ‘Blog’ about 30 times. (blogging, blogger, blogs, blah, blah) There’s no set-in-stone amount of times to use a word or phrase, but other than this word, there was no real content! No suggested call-to-action (sign-up here, take survey, buy my product, etc) He gave me absolutely no reason to continue skimming his site for anything else. The only reason I stayed in there as long as I did was to see if he would get around to a punchline. There wasn’t one.
