The SEO High School Anthem
Friday, April 4th, 2008
Donna Fontenot allowed a newb to occupy a seat on her blog for a guest post.
Note her opening statement to his post:
“The following post is a guest post. SEO Scoop endeavors to showcase and highlight guest bloggers, in the hopes of giving up and coming bloggers and SEOs a chance to shine. Please take some time to appreciate their efforts by visiting their sites, or by networking with them.
**SEO Scoop does not necessarily agree with or condone any tactics mentioned by guest posters.** “
When a guest spot is offered by an A-list blogger like Donna, the writer becomes more visible and their message is typically well received by other quality bloggers. Fellow newbs being equally impressed are hopefully driven to improve the quality of their posts, so as to optimize their chance of getting the same opportunity. (for more responsible reasons too I hope!)
It can be a great opportunity for some of the newer ones in the blogosphere to recieve recognition by other bloggers.
(This is a subject that I had addressed in “Are You the Underdog in Sphinn? Where’s YOUR Vote?” (Sphunn here with plenty of commentary) Yet another example of what happens when a newbie blogs on a better known site as opposed to blogging from his own ‘backyard’.)
