Michael Moore’s Activism Against HMO’s - Sicko

Monday, June 30th, 2008

If you think I’M opinionated, you ought to hear Michael Moore and his antics.

I watched one of his documentaries over the weekend, “Sicko“, and it inspired me to buy every one of his films. :-)

He’s witty, he’s opinionated, and determined to uncover injustices. “Sicko” explains the foul play behind HMO’s and the detriment to American citizens as a direct result of utilizing HMO.

He visits France, Canada, and Cuba to discuss their Governmental health policies in those countries.

Did you know, in some other countries, health care is FREE for their citizens? 100%.

They understand the importance of illness PREVENTION. You know, as the old saying goes, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”

Whatever your illness, these countries citizens receive immediate free treatment and care. Even if they need serious surgeries, extensive cancer treatments, coverage for childbirth or a common cold.

If you watch the movie, you’ll see the facts that our government tries to conceal, like who was paid off and why Hilary’s attempt to make sure we were all covered failed.

ethical marketing project

We each have a purpose. I’d like to think that my purpose will affect many. If not, I tried my best. That’s all we can ever truly own. Our best.

I will be posting regularly shortly. I’ve been a busy bee with a lot of things. Some of those things, I’ll explain more fully by the end of this post.
To clarify this sites purpose and intent:

Mostly a microblog to include Search Engine Optimization, Marketing, and all things related to ethical marketing practices in business and life. When I have a post available, I will add ‘full post‘ to the title of the post, so if you grab my RSS feed, you’ll be able to know the difference. (in case you are not a micro kinda guy/gal) I think it’s imperative that we begin to do some housekeeping in our marketing zones, online as well as off, so that is why I will be striving to promote ethical marketers and practices, as stated in the previous post.

Supporter of Ethical Marketing

change

Marketing doesn’t have to be a dirty word.

After serious thought, and reconsideration of my goals for this site, I have changed “Learning SEO Basics - Search Engine Optimization for the Curious Newbie” to “Learning SEO Basics - Supporter of Ethical Marketing”.

The best contribution to marketing isn’t requested of someone else.

It’s given.

There will be gradual changes in the overall content here.

I am on the lookout for marketers / bloggers that are actively involved with charitable organizations, environmental causes, and endeavors that are of benefit to the welfare of humanity, including marketers blogs that are focussed upon ethical marketing. Regular activity in something as simple as Facebook causes where games are played for free is a good and fun way to contribute as well as make terrific friends. (Play a game with a like-minded person, and you’ve scored a meal for someone. Not bad I’d say.)

Green Marketing and the Internet

Wednesday, May 21st, 2008

I love hearing marketing related talk that suggests being green. Social Media has opened the doors to such a broad audience that we can reach with what we have to say.

Why not take advantage of that?

Growing your business does not mean you have to sacrifice being of use to our environment.

If your concerns are in the right place, you can implement both successfully. Ultimately, the profits of being green only add to the beauty of your pocket stash. Unless of course, you don’t consider drinking water when you are thirsty, affordable food on your table, or taking sunshiny walks on a Summer day without watching your childs face peel off profitable. (A little drama there but inevitable if we don’t make positive changes to the earth we live in.)

“Although Kermit the Frog may have told us “It’s not easy bein’ green”, the staggering number of products today marketing themselves as “environmentally conscious might lead you to think otherwise.”
