My SEO By The Sea

By Kimberly Bock | July 18, 2008

“A kiss is just a kiss unless it’s shared with love”

In a world that’s so tainted by impurities and insincerity, it’s easy to doubt words of love and well wishes.

It became apparent to me early on in life that the words, “Trust me” are words to fear.

I’ve observed many faces from many walks of life; professional/career persons to commoners (like me) in the streets of Baltimore where I lived half of my life.

6 months ago, my doubts, fears and insecurities were challenged by a sweet, sexy, intelligent, wonderful guy.

Haha..I fought him tooth and nail too. I kept thinking, “Yes, right, I’m not even in his ‘league’, what’s really going on?” “This guy’s too good to be true”

He drove from Delaware to Virginia to see me..most every weekend.

The first time I laid eyes on him, I was tongue tied and didn’t know how to act. I was so nervous that I was shaking. He gave me roses and a soft kiss (we had been IMing for a bit)

It was the kind of kiss that was respectful and kind. (ok, it thrilled me to death, gosh he’s got it)

I knew I was in trouble.

Well, long story short, we’ve had our share of challenges already, especially since I was so cynical. But he has this way of grounding me. He says I do the same for him. He’s my better half and my inspiration. He thinks it’s sexy when I do geeky computer things, and I’m turned on when he uses words that I have to look up in a dictionary. Haha..we compliment each other.

Because of him, I’m no longer in fear of love. He’s shown me that it’s not a ‘dirty word’.

Tonight during desert in a restaurant, Bill Slawski, the love of my life, asked me to marry him.

I said yes.

I’m the luckiest girl ever. I’ve waited for him all my life.

My SEO By the Sea.

I love you bill. You’re my everything.?

Sean and Hiren, thanks so much for your kind words. Yes, love does find a way doesn’t it? I didn’t see it coming 6 month ago, but I’m sure glad it did. :-)

Bill, when we began IMing, I would get so excited to see that little orange light or hear the alert that told me you were there. You’re the manliest, most handsome, most beautiful hearted guy I’ve ever met.

    I love you too babe.

Pratt, thanks, we’re so happy too! And I’m sure the future will be bright and new for both of us. Many pages of wonderful things to write about. Some of best poetry recently has been because of his presence in my life.

Adam, I don’t know why God saw to it to bless me (us) this way, but I believe that he’s up there warming our hearts in the right directions, making us better people as a team and as individuals.

A date? Well, his parents have an anniversary coming up in January, so we were thinking about possibly having a dbl wedding then. We haven’t asked them about it though..HAHA..I guess they should know first ey?! We’ll see. I’d marry him in the Summer, the fall, the winter, in the rain, under a tree, IN a tree, in a hail storm…well, you get the picture. ;-)

Man, I’ve been chasing you guys/gals around through this damn Social Media Maze and I’m finding people pinging me through log spam, my social profiles that haven’t been active for years, all over the place. What is up with that? I’m gettin’ outta’ here…

I am sooo happy for the two of you, I really am. Kim will tell ya, I mean what I say. :)

pr1, Sorry dude, I didn’t see your message to approve it!!! Booo!

LoL, yea, you mean what you say I think and I respect the way you tell it like it is. You’re not fearful of making waves even when you know it may bring you ’slap-back’. not enough people are like that, and we all know why. Voices are stifled, shoved down, discarded, and spanked when we get too close to truth. Sorry you were thrown out of Sphinn. You did nothing wrong. Speaking your mind should have been welcomed or simply ignored by those who didn’t share your viewpoints..not stifled and thrown out for it!

Thanks for being happy for Bill and I. We both just read this message and got our laugh on. We support you and would like to stay in the loop. :-)

    Hi Kimberly and Bill.

Couldn’t agree more with you BOTH about eventually finding the RIGHT partner.
I have now been married three times - the first too young (we did not live together in those days) and we found that we were just ‘not ready for each other.
Second marriage - a good 7 years after my divorce (amicable) I did it again. I don’t know why but we did not fit! Tried for 11 years but it just did not work.
I told myself - never again! However I became involved in Amateur Theatre in the support category (stage and sound) and met up with this delightful lady (divorced herself about 5 years before) and although we sort of tried to avoid each other we eventually lived together for a year then married and BOTH of us have NEVER been happier. We have been together for over 14 years now and the partnership and all that entails grows stronger as we progress in life.
We Both Would Completely Agree that The love is There For all This To Happen - Previously We thought we were in love but I guess it wasn’t so.

So - CONGRATULATIONS to you both!!!

    Michael
