On Page SEO

By Kimberly Bock | June 30, 2008

“Is your On Page SEO strong enough? Honing your on page factors, sculpting page rank, funneling link weight and consolidating anchor text is only one facet of content optimization.

Search engines assess your pages first to determine your sites relevance and how your pages measure up to existing pages in the search index on the topic.”

Sure wish I knew more about ‘SEO’ because our nonprofit keeps getting into hot water by being brutally honest on the ethics front but often misunderstood in our candor. I keep using the ‘nonpartisan, nonprofit, centrist’ approach to explaining ‘where we’re coming from’ but inevitably I end up in the SEO slush pile of controversy…ah well, I guess that’s kind of our mission…to ‘tell it like it is’ on Shaping Youth, even when both sides of the advocacy fence aren’t wild about us dragging their brand into the conversation. C’est la vie.

If you know of any SEO specialists interested in assisting a nonprofit advocating for children, pls. ping me as we could use that expertise on our tech advisory board!

Where have you been ‘telling it like it is’? Do you promote yourself in any social forms? Many people support those that speak their mind. If they didn’t, many SUers would be in trouble. ;-)
