Accept With Grace. Return With Passion.

By Kimberly Bock | May 13, 2008

“Accept with grace. Return with passion.” hmmm…

It’s funny, I use that quote everywhere I go. In fact, it’s my main motto of Yicrosoft Directory Girl too. Yes, it’s mine. No, it won’t change the state of the nation, or make my boyfriend get his priorities in order, or even make okra taste any better. But, it can remind me that giving up is not an option. It’s what losers do. I refuse to allow a failed relationship, or anything else convince me that I can’t make a difference in life. Whether by use of this site or otherwise more important areas of my life.

I said Learning SEO Basics is on hiatus.

It was.

I was.

It seems I didn’t take my own advice. What was I thinking? I’m not one to abandon ship!

I hope that you forgive the drama. When I feel..I feel passionately. I needed the time to regroup and reexamine.

WE have begun something here. It was never supposed to be just about me. When this site began it was designed to give. It has. It does. It would be really dumb to allow others to interfere with my “happy place“.

I like using this site as a valuable resource for newcomers and others. I like using it to give a link or two to those I support. I like using it to express myself. I like getting to know you through your commentary here. I like using it to show that marketing and social media doesn’t have to be selfish or one-way. A giving system that we can use to benefit between us. I’ve invested time, energy and heart in this, and I love what I’m doing and the people I have met.

In essence, your readership is very much appreciated and I shouldn’t have let negativity get in the way of what we can do here. The world is not pretty sometimes. But we can improve it with what we each have to offer.

To Gab, Garrett, Tad, James, Ken, Dev, Sean, and all of you that contacted me by way of Twitter, Facebook, Stumbleupon, and other medians, to let me know that you care for me and this site, thank you for making me listen to my own advice. I will accept with grace and return with passion.

For those of you that offered to buy this site, thanks for the offers, but you’ll have to wait a while. ;-)

To all of you that are reading this, if there’s anything that me or this site can do for you, just ask. It really is that simple.

I like servitude. It keeps me humble.
