Learning SEO Basics On Hiatus

I am sorry to say that I am having second thoughts about maintaining this blog.

I have met a lot of people that I respect but I just can’t see spending everyday of my life associating with the constant greed and lack of priorities that is so prominent within the marketing communities I’ve been affiliated with.

One of the worst things I could have done was to get into a relationship with one of them. He is unable to be loyal and honest with me due to his fear of abandonment by them. So, that pretty much drew the line for me.

I’ll be on hiatus for quite some time. I may not return at all.

Beware. Watch your back. They  can be cruel.

I hope your experiences with them are more fulfilling than it has been for me.

Be good to yourselves and others,

Kimberly Bock

Kim, that would really suck because you make seo accessible to oodles and poodles of newbs. Who’ll do it if not you?

On the other hand, I understand the frustration and aggravation, and keeping up blogging can be hard as hell. Particularly with an audience like yours that is transitory; once they learn the basics, they’re off to the advanced sites.

Please don’t go! There are some of us that are not full of this constant greed you talk about. But the best to you if you do!

If that’s your choice I respect that. I’ll miss your contributions here on the blog as well as on Mixx. Of course marketing or SEO is not enough and many people tend to concentarte or limit it to monetray gain. I have the impression though that here som epersonal and professional things get mixed up unnecesarrily.

Take a break and cool down if you like, maybe then the decision process will be a little less biased. Otherwise if you’re completely sure already then sell the blog, I think it’s already worth a lot.

P.S.: Marketing and SEO are not greed driven etc. by definition, the best marketers I know online are green marketers fighting for a better world on the Web.

I’ll echo the sentiments here Kim and say that the SEO and social media community will be a far poorer place without you. I hope that time will heal wounds and we’ll see you here once again. You will be sorely missed if not.

You are one of the people who truly embraces the meaning of ’social’ in social media, and I’d just like to thank you for the support you have given me over the past few months.

    Kim,
I just want to add my voice to all the others that are saying,
    Please don’t go.
Like a lot of the other people here, I’ve found you and your blog to be a great source of information and encouragement.
You were one of the first people to make me feel welcome when I took my first tentative steps into this community and it would be a shame to lose you from it because of the difficulties and frustrations you’re feeling with regard to certain other members.
I hope the break gives you time to reflect and to come back stronger.

It’s sad to see you leaving Kim! When you started out, myself and many others identified you as the social media trailblazer, and a keen observer and participant of this crazy search marketing world. Take care and keep in touch if possible!

“The world is not respectable; it is mortal, tormented, confused, deluded forever; but it is shot through with beauty, with love, with glints of courage and laughter; and in these, the spirit blooms timidly, and struggles to the light amid the thorns.”

Don’t let the negative behavior of others detract, distract or derail you from your good work. I hope you will decide to press forward and rise above.

Choice is our gift from the creator, if it is your will then so be it. I know in fact, in my own little bubble, you are the one person I would always regard as real. You contributions are immeasurable Kimberly, you always speak your mind and do not seek acceptance of bow to the ego’s of others.

I am sad to see you retreat, but if it is what you will then seek the path that feels right to you, and over time, that may change. We all have our challenges to overcome on a daily basis, but all I know is you made mine easier every time I brushed into you only with tour enthusiasm, and 110% that you bring to the table.
