Douglas Merrill Leaves Google for EMI
By Kimberly Bock | April 2, 2008
I was reading a post by Kevin Heisler, Executive Editor of Search Engine Watch a few minutes ago entitled, “Google Loses Rock Star CIO to EMI Music“.
It seems that Douglas Merrill has lost his Google panties to another John.
He’s opted for being the President of EMI.
Who’s Douglas Merrill anyway?
Douglas Merrill was none other than Google’s Vice President of Engineering. He began as Google’s Senior Director of Information Systems in 2003.
His background before Google included Charles Schwab and Co., Price Waterhouse and RAND Corporation.
What the heck is EMI?
According to Wikipedia, EMI Group is one of the largest music companies in the world.
Merrill. What a tramp.
Is it just me, or does it seem like nobody that beds with Google marries Google?
