Learning SEO Alternatives: Introduction to PPC Search Engine Marketing

By Kimberly Bock | January 24, 2008

Pay Per Click (PPC)

I’d like to begin providing more information about Pay Per Click (PPC), AdWords, and miscellaneous search engine marketing (SEM) options to broaden your interpretation of search.

This will also give you a better idea of the SEO/M communities that you frequent. It’s always good to know your surroundings, especially since a majority of forums and a multitude of SEO communities are not specifically focussed upon information only. It is suggested that you observe these suggestions for possible future use.

Kalena Jordan (Ask Kalena and Search Engine College) posted a “Beginners Guide to PPC Marketing” that I’ll be sending you to today.

“Pay Per Click (PPC) search engine marketing refers to a specific type of advertising where you pay a search engine every time a potential customer clicks on your ad. These ads appear on search engine results pages and sometimes on sites within a search engine’s network of partners.”

Thank you for the link. I have been trying to learn ppc tactics but I have been lost. That post helped me get the hang of them and gave me some ideas on how to implement them.
